An excellent point, Steven. Thank you for the comment. It provoked me to think what I am missing in my perspective.
But then I remembered. There is a difference between what we want and what we need.
And that, I think, is a hard pill to swallow. We don’t like mistakes and blunders, but they make us grow. I believe that is the essence of the Principle of Duality.
I don’t mean to advocate racism, but all those mistakes and horrors are needed for the majority (or critical mass) to realize it’s wrong and something has to be done about it. Only then do we (as a population) grow.
In other words, most of us like sunny days and hate rainy ones. But it it exactly the rainy days that makes us like sunny days.
I hope that makes some sense. Me, too, couldn’t be in a relationship with a racist, but we need the wrong to remind us to do better and advance.
