I understand that it’s hard to accept that being abused, for example, might do any good to anyone. But those lessons cannot be learned by others who haven’t experienced it. And not all need that experience.

And I don’t mean to find excuse or validate such behavior - far from it. But a motto says: ‘never a failure, always a lesson.’ Steelmanning… 😉
