I understand your point, and even agree for the sake of lowering the consequences we'll 'ultimately have to pay', I don't want to support and propagate different ideas.

But honestly, if we think that Nature and Gaia make mistakes and that we 'can beat the house', we are so mistaken and largely overestimate our power.

We are missing the big picture, because our perspective 'counts in miliseconds' while Gaia and Nature have been here for eons. If we endanger their existence, we will be wiped in a matter of seconds (translate that to Gaia 'steps').

Don't get me wrong we will pay for our ignorance, and even probably be wiped out. But we should never underestimate Gaia's own immune ande defense systems. Again, that does not mean that we are doing ok and that the Nature and Gaia stuff is 'bolony'.

NO, NO, NO!

We have largely shown our disrespect and ignorance towards Nature and will pay for that (because there are no free passes, nothing is free). But still, we are a very young species (a child) and need to learn our place in Nature. Then we will prove worthy.
