I understand your point and keep it in my rulebook. But there are a few aspects to consider - I guess that was my main point in the article: those who need it don’t want it, and one should not rely on changing others but themself. Receiving (unsolicited) advice is something I cannot escape, but how I react or respond is entirely my decision.
It reminds me of Sadhguru’s saying that a man can destroy your life by only observing your house each day. What you do about it is entirely up to you.
Another point might be that there’s always some truth in any advice. My focus is (almost) always on identifying others perspective and finding that part which can improve my perspective and well-being.
