I’m not sure if I understood this correctly, but getting away from something that exists, to me, sounds like denying it.

For me, duality actually represent accepting diversity. For example, I don’t want to get away from acknowledging that both, positive and negative charge form electricity.

I don’t want to get away from accepting their existence, and that their diversity is what makes energy happen.

Duality is not same as unity, but it does not deny harmony. Also, harmony by definition accepts duality and diversity.
