Interesting; now I see it as a (life-long) learning process, where in the end (if learning it well) one realizes that they didn’t need all those crushes to turn into something more serious, because everything happened exactly as it should.

Sometimes battles need to be lost to win a war. Which means regret is a very misguided feeling. You never see the whole picture.
