It is good, if one does not focus solely on it.

Human body does not function on calories (alone). I believe most diets fail because people focus (solely) on calories.

Sufficient nutrients in daily diet are vital. Our bodily processes require nutrients (especially in their bioactive form) to function properly.

And I am not saying that calories should be disregarded.

An interesting perspective to consider is that we don’t get obese because of too much calories, but more often because of indigestible processed foods.

In many studies reserchears mention finding signs of inner (organ) starvation with obese people.

For example, fast-food fries has no nutritional value, requires enormous amount of minerals and other nutrients to (try to) process (I’m not sure about calorie count!), and often compounds in certain waste storage areas like belly, thighs, breasts, ass,…

It also creates a huge nutrient deficit. Hence the prolongued continuous hunger.
