Ouch. This one I have to respond to. From my perspective, ssentially, best help always comes from those that are motivated to find solutions to your problems fro themselves.

I often offered myself to help other organisations for free. Well, if the results were satisfying for them, I was open to any kind of reward. But without obligations.

My plan was, if I manage to presemt my systems optimization skills and methods, they would want me to do more (and to pay for it).

Nobody wanted the help.
First, they didn’t understand my motivation (to help them to help myself enriching my problem-solving toolbelt).
Second, they didn’t see that my motivation was not to sell them something, but to find the best possible solution for them, because of my egotistical intentions - to grow my problem-solving skills and enrich my toolbelt with new experience.

See? From my perspective it’s a huge win-win. My motivation goes hand in hand with their expectations - to get the best result for them. And it is much stronger than if someone goes in for the money.

Do you think I am missing something?
