A newly wed couple was preparing their first lunch together. A wife cuts both ends of the sausage and puts it in the pan to cooks it.
A husband asks:
-“Why’d you do that?”
That’s how sausages are properly cooked.”
-“No way, that’s not it,” he replies.
-“Yes, you need to cut both ends to cook the sausage! My grandmother taught me, when I was still a little girl,” she insisted.
-“I don’t belive a word. Call your grandmother and ask her.”

She called her grandmother on the phone to verify the old recipe. Grandma laughed:
-“You silly, I did that so the sausage could fit in a pan. You still haven’t bought a bigger one to make the sausage fit in completely?!?”
