When you understand things better, the element of chance diminishes. Like gods striking thunder at us poor infidels.
There are never perfect conditions. But I think that but we should learn to properly evaluate things instead of turning blind's eye to small fractures in our explanations and patching holes with made up stories.
A few years ago I had a 'fight' with one of the best pediatritians in our country. When he claimed that my son has bacterial infection (which I opposed based on my experience) and not finding any in his blood, he went to explain to me that bacteria often hides in other parts of the body when we take blood samples. He wanted to put my son to the most devastating antibiotic treatment 'just in case' there are some bacteria.
And that is a pattern I notice very often in medical profession.
